There have been so many advances in technology over the last ten years, it's almost hard to keep up with all the changes.
Advances in technology can make running your company easier and less expensive.
Digital age [Noun] (a period when information is sent electronically). We live in a digital age, where technology is intrinsic to our daily lives. Do schools still need paper textbooks in a digital age?
Reliance [on] [Noun] (a synonym for “dependence on”: the state of needing something or someone all the time in order to survive or be successful).
There is more reliance on computers in education nowadays.
Our reliance on smartphones and other devices will likely only continue to rise.
Innovation [Noun] (a new method, idea, equipment etc).
The rapid pace of technological innovation.
They are responsible for many innovations in their field.
Digital camera [Noun] (a camera that records and stores digital pictures and video in the form of electronic signals that can be looked at on a computer).
He is using a digital camera to take pictures.
This digital camera has a setting for white balance that you can adjust for the warmness of the light.
To back up files [Verb] (to make a copy of files on your computer in case of its problem).
He had to back up files on his computer because he was going to reinstall his operating system.
Weekly, I back up files on my computer to an external hard disk.
To be stuck behind a computer [Expression] (to use computer for a long period of time).
I don't want my son stuck behind a computer; he should be outside playing. A lot of students are stuck behind their computers all day.
To boot up [Verb] (to start a computer).
I booted up my computer and checked my email.
He woke up this morning and booted up his computer to begin working on his college homework.
