Air [Verb] (to air means to broadcast a program on TV or radio).
My favorite TV show airs every weekend on a popular local channel at 6:00 p.m.
The Gadget Show airs on six channel each week.
At a crossroads [Expression] (at an important point in someone’s life when he/she has to make a very important decision).
She was at a crossroads in her career.
I was at a crossroads with two choices - whether to join the army or to continue studying at university.
Aquatic animals [Noun] (animals that live in water).
Aquatic animals are negatively affected by overfishing, destructive fishing, and climate change.
Assign [Verb] (to give a particular task to somebody to do).
He does almost all the homework assigned every day. Assigned homework helps keep students organized.
Alleyway [Noun] (a narrow street or passageway).
He brushed up against his boss in the alleyway. We found a stray cat in the alleyway.
The police officer was very suspicious when he saw a suspicious man loitering in the alleyway.
As easy as it sounds = as easy as people think.
I assume it's not as easy as it sounds.
Pursuing our passions and dreams is never as easy as it sounds.
Acknowledge [Verb] (accept, understand and admit).
He didn't acknowledge what she said. He acknowledged his mistake.
I acknowledge it to be true.
As for [Expression] (with regard to).
He prefers hiking and surfing. As for me, I would rather just stay at home and relax.
As for me, they are identical.
A bit [Expression] (a little, a small amount).
His house is a bit of a mess. It was a bit cold last night.
Advisable [Adjective] (to be suggested or recommended).
Many doctors say that it is advisable to avoid coffee during pregnancy. It is not advisable to drink too much.
Abundant [Adjective] (existing in large quantities; more than enough).
The lake is abundant in fish.
Our country is abundant with natural resources.
Abandon [Verb] (to leave something, or someone, usually forever; especially someone you are responsible for).
The house has looked abandoned since his family moved away 3 years ago. The child was found abandoned but unharmed.
