The architecture of that building was fantastic.
Competitive [Adjective] (having a strong desire to win or do better than other people).
Since he is very competitive, I know he will try and surpass my video game score.
He is very competitive, he sometimes puts too much pressure on himself.
Challenging [Adjective] (used to describe something that is difficult and intriguing).
Nursing is a very challenging and demanding career. I found this to be very challenging.
Dweller [Noun] (a person who lives in a particular city, town, etc).
Many urban dwellers are homeless or live in inadequate housing. Urban dwellers often accept noise as part of city life.
Outlet [Noun] (a place that sells goods).
She bought her clothes at an outlet mall. The outlet store will be closing after 11 pm.
Metropolis [Noun] (a very large city, often the capital city of a country).
A modern metropolis needs a good integrated transport system. Many young people like to live in a modern metropolis.
A metropolis is never silent.
Hustle and bustle [Expression] (busy and noisy, involving a lot of activities and work).
We can't concentrate on our lessons with all the hustle and bustle going on around us.
Last week, I moved to my parents' farm to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
Renovation [Noun] (the process of repairing and improving a building to restore to good condition).
The temple is in bad need of renovation.
The restaurant was closed due to its renovation.
The lungs of the city [Noun] (places in the city where the air is less polluted).
The parks and green infrastructure of our city are the lungs of the city.
The parklands are the lungs of the city since they purify much of the air pollution.
Overcrowded [Adjective] (to be excessively crowded (with too many people or things in a place).
The county jail is overcrowded.
Too many poor people are living in overcrowded conditions.
A passer-by [Noun] (a person who is walking past you (in the street)).
By a fortunate coincidence, a passer-by heard her cries for help.
He was rescued by a passer-by.
