• Karakalpak State University (KKSU) named after Berdakh was found in 1976. It is biggest academic and research center of the Karakalpakstan, which is the north-west region of the Uzbekistan. There are more than 6000 students pursuing 40 majors of underground program (bachelour) and 22 minors of masters degree. It consists 8 faculty (facultet) and 40 departments.

• KSU public higher education institution in Uzbekistan. KSU opened its doors in 1976. The main building of the university proudly stands in Nukus inside an urban campus. Karakalpak State University never leaves the national rankings of the top universities of Uzbekistan.

Application process and the cost of tuition.

•  The students must pass examinations in order to get admitted to the university. Only one applicant out of 5 manages to successfully enroll to Karakalpak State University, which makes the university one of the most selective in the world. Academic year of the university consists of two semesters. The cost of tuition for the bachelor’s programs is around 5,000 USD per year. Doing your master’s studies at KSU is not cheap - a year of studies will cost you 5,000 USD. Even though the tuition fees are not that high, the students still can apply for scholarship.
