Tashkent (/tæʃˈkɛnt/, US also /tɑːʃ-/) (from Russian: Ташкент), or Toshkent (/tɒʃˈkɛnt/; Uzbek: Toshkent/Тошкент/تاشکند, IPA: [tɒʃˈkent]), also historically known as Chāch (Persian: چاچ), is the capital and largest city of Uzbekistan, as well as the most populous city in Central Asia, with a population in 2018 of 2,485,900.[3] It is in northeastern Uzbekistan, near the border with Kazakhstan.
Before Islamic influence started in the mid 8th century AD, Tashkent was influenced by the Sogdian and Turkic cultures. After Genghis Khan destroyed it in 1219, it was rebuilt and profited from the Silk Road. From the 18th to the 19th century, the city became an independent city-state, before being re-conquered by the Khanate of Kokand. In 1865, Tashkent fell to the Russian Empire; it became the capital of Russian Turkestan. In Soviet times, it witnessed major growth and demographic changes due to forced deportations from throughout the Soviet Union. Much of Tashkent was destroyed in the 1966 Tashkent earthquake, but it was rebuilt as a model Soviet cityToday, as the capital of an independent Uzbekistan, Tashkent retains a multiethnic population, with ethnic Uzbeks as the majority. In 2009, it celebrated its 2,200 years of written history.[5
THE PLACE WHERE I WAS BORN
The homeland is the place where a person is born, where his umbilical cord blood is shed, where he spends his childhood and youth, where he is educated, and where he always misses when he travels. Loving the homeland, serving its prosperity, protecting it from the evil eye and the dark forces, and elevating its honor are all part of our love for Allah (swt) and His Beloved, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). is the product of our love for the vassal. This is because Allah (swt) has created this feeling in the nature of man. This feeling is present not only in humans but also in other creatures. Animals also have a sense of patriotism and longing for their homeland. The fish craves water, the animal craves its nest, the insect craves its nest. Both these mindless creatures and insects recognize their home, build it, live in it with their mates, procreate, and protect it when needed. Therefore, in a person who is endowed with intellect, thinking, and the flower of all beings, this feeling must be highly developed.
Imam Muhammad al-Ghazali (as) said: “The homeland also has rights. The first is the right to live in peace and gratitude while living in this Motherland. It is also the right of those born and raised in this country to miss it when they leave it, to be angry when it is humiliated, and to protect it when it is attacked. Whether we live in this heavenly Motherland, let us live in peace in it, let us be thankful for it, let us miss it, whether it is in search of knowledge, for commercial purposes, or whether we have traveled from the Motherland.
