The
business
industry also relies heavily on the English language
thus the will of getting a good job requires English fluency. In fact, the demand for employees who can
speak more than one language has doubled in recent years, according to the New American Economy,
a research organization. Global companies such as Airbus, Daimler-Chrysler, Fast Retailing, Nokia,
Renault, Samsung, SAP, Technicolor, and Microsoft in Beijing, have mandated English as their official
corporate language. In addition, in 2010 the company Rakuten, a Japanese cross between Amazon and
eBay, made it mandatory for their 7,100 Japanese employees to be able to speak English. Even when
English isn’t required, it’s a valuable skill that puts you ahead of the competition. And I think next rea-
son what encourages people to learn English language is learning English is easier than learning some
other languages like German, Chinese or Arabic. For instance, in German language no matter how well
you know ALL the possible grammatical rules, the gender of thousands of nouns, the sentence structure
etc… most likely the you won’t be able to understand one thing from your first conversations with a
German, in particular in informal situations. The spoken language has in fact a name for its own, the so
called Umgangssprache (vehicular language). Its lexicon has even been assembled in dictionaries, and
holds the peculiarity of being transversal to dialects. Considering that is the most spoken language, the
resources that someone can access in order to learn are multiple across the Internet. What is so difficult
about Chinese language is that makes Chinese language difficult to lear9n is the writing system. Un

like most other languages in the world, Chinese does not use any kind of finite alphabet or Romanized
lettering system. Instead, Chinese is ideographic, meaning that it uses symbols (known as Chinese
characters), rather than phonetic letters (a,b,c), to represent words. There are quite literally thousands
of Chinese characters within the language, each with its own unique meaning and pronunciation. The
upshot is that, in order for non-native speakers to even read a Chinese newspaper, they must be able to
recognize some 10,000 Chinese characters! However, English is on the other hand, the English alphabet
is straightforward, making it easier to master than the symbols or pictures that make up some languages.

glish, which shares an alphabet with many other languages. The fact that which drive students to study
is they know that 55% of the world’s webpages are written in English. This absolutely dwarfs that of
any other language, with the next most widely used language on the internet being Russian (which con-
stitutes just 6% of pages). Knowledge of English therefore allows us to tap into far more of the world’s
intellectual resources. According to a report by Education First, English is the language of the internet.
An estimated 565 million people use the internet every day, and an estimated 52 percent of the world’s
most visited websites are displayed in the English language. Knowing how to read English will allow us
access to billions of pages of information which may not be otherwise available. Comparing to ordinary
people, students use the internet almost every day to search for some kind of information or to commu-
nicate with their friends via telegram or to make presentations. The human who has interest in IT have to
be able to understand English. Because the language of the internet and computer is English. And some
students learn English
because they enjoy learning, having fun and making progress. This tends to be
the most effective form of motivation.
