Call to Order: A meeting of the Board, managers, coaches and parents was held at the Smithsburg fire hall, Smithsburg, MD on Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 8:06 p.m.

8:08 President’s Report:

Scoreboard: Brad Cohen has ordered the new scoreboard and it will be here in 2 weeks. Scoreboard cost about $3200.00.
All Star Picks: All Star Picks will be conducted on Sunday May 20^th 7:00 pm @ the SLS Field. If the manager of your team can not attend, a coach must be there. Please do not invite parents or player. Things go a lot smoother and quicker when parents and players are not there.

13 Prep Play off Tournament: Smithsburg is hosting the 13 Prep Play off Tournament this year at Lions Park. The Tournament starts on June 23.
End of Season Ceremonies: The end of the year ceremonies and trophies will be on Sunday, July 29^th at 8:00 p.m. We are going to have the closing ceremonies under the lights this year.
8:51 Old Business: Please make sure managers when you are raking the field that you rake from base to base not infield to outfield.
8:52 Player Agent, Charlie Bradburn: Smithsburg Pride Parade is on Saturday, May 19^th. If anyone is interested in having your team walk in the parade, they will be meeting at the tennis courts beginning at 9:30. The parade begins at 11:00.
9:00 Umpire & Chief, Brent Spear: Nothing to report.
9:01 Concession Stand: Liz Rohrer has decided to step down from the concessions committee. Terri Cohen, Julie Pennington, Heather Rucci and Leah Barnes have agreed to all help with the concession stand.
9:20 Ways & Means, Tina Beaver: Beef & Brew date has been changed to June 16^th because of the G8 Summit at Camp David on the previous date. Tickets were given to each team mom at the team mom meeting on opening day. Tickets and money has to be turned in no later than June 6^th so that we can get a head count. Ticket stubs and money can be turned into Tina Beaver, Terri Cohen or the concession stand.
9:25 Division Reps:

Tee Ball, Mark Barnhart: Not present but Jeff Davis addressed the following for him. More game balls for the pitching machines have been ordered. More dirt has been ordered we are just waiting for it to be delivered.

Rookie League, Brad Cohen: Nothing to report.

Minor League, Brent Spears: Nothing to report.

Major League, Ken Kutchey: Nothing to report.

Babe Ruth League, Jeff Davis: Nothing to report.

9:28 New Business: SLS will host a Bat-A-Thon on Sunday, June 3^rd to benefit Sidney Davis who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Details with be posted closer to the event date. Thank you Ryan Cohen for being so caring and suggesting this event. Next meeting we will address fall ball.
