Introduction

At present great importance is attached to the teaching of foreign languages. No doubt, it happens not without purpose. Today, the importance of our people’s perfect knowledge of foreign languages can scarcely be exaggerated as our country aspires to win a decent place in the world community, because our people see their future as a life in mutual accord and cooperation with their foreign partners “We should prepare in our country in the shortest time the methods of intensive foreign language learning based on our national peculiarities.” Our country aims to improve English language teaching and learning. It is becoming top priority because English is widely accepted as a language of business, educational reforms and IT. By improving quality of teaching and language proficiency, education system and domestic businesses the life of whole nation can flourish and economic growth of the country can continue. and English language teaching, today, starts in preschool and primary education . Number of resolutions has been adopted for the improving the quality of education in Uzbekistan. There are number of Decrees signed by our President Sh. Mirziyoyev which lead to the development of educational system and economic development in our country. The Presidential Decree 2909 “On measures for further development of the education system" open the doors to establishing private schools, which will pursue the goal of having well educated graduates with broad outlook and confident knowledge. Furthermore this Presidential Decree promotes professors and teachers of the higher and secondary education to have retraining course abroad, in developed countries like UK, USA, Japan, South Korea. The relationship between leading Universities of the world has been established and professionals in different areas have been invited to exchange their experience in the Universities of Uzbekistan.

Our country pays a great attention to the development of assessment system as well, especially in learning foreign languages. Now Universities accept applicants with their language level according to CEFR B1, B2, whereas before the entrance exams were based on only multiple choice testing types, which were not always reliable in terms of testing applicants communicative competence. The strong policy and people’s great enthusiasm make an important contribution to changing and bringing reform into Uzbekistan. Every teacher and student should take an active part in implementing the changing and establish great future of Uzbekistan. By learning the language and appropriate methodology of teaching English effectively, I believe to do my best to support the reform and fulfill my duties as a citizen of Uzbekistan. We clearly see that one of the main Constitutional guarantees – the right to receive education, realization of creativity, intellectual development – is realized through this program. The market of educational services is being formed through developing marketing in the sphere of education, and training qualified specialists, the system of governmental and non-governmental education establishments, paid consulting and educational services is being developed, market relating in the principles of self-financing, demand and supply.

It is noted that in the framework of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On education” and National Programme for Training in the country, a comprehensive foreign languages, teaching system, aimed at creating harmoniously developed, highly educated, modern-thinking young generation, further integration of the country to the world community, has been created. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On Uzbekistan’s Development strategy”.

However, it is necessary to remember always that the study of foreign languages should not be carried out of the other important subjects like the History of language and the English literature. English literature is hundreds of years old and continues to be one of the most popular courses of study in high schools and universities around the world. English literature deals with universal themes and values that help us grow in our everyday lives. It also teaches us about different time periods and faraway places.
