surface of bentonite increases both the radius and volume of pores.This is necessary for further 

modification and enrichment with the most optimal alkali metal cations.Bentonite was activated 

with 10% hydrochloric acid and modified with sodium hydroxide.It is known that the limited use 

of bentonites as adsorbents is due to their relatively low cation exchange capacity in the natural 

state. Alkaline activation is performed to increase this figure.
