In India, foreign economic relations are used primarily to overcome economic backwardness and 

strengthen the country's economic independence. It should be noted that the Indian bourgeoisie, 

especially  its  monopolistic  circles,  are  trying  to  subordinate  foreign  economic  relations  to  the 

interests  of  increasing  their  incomes.The  importance  of  foreign  economic  relations  for  the 

national  economy  of  India  determines  the  active  participation  of  the  state  in  their  development 

and  increasing  the  effectiveness  of  its  impact  on  domestic  economic  processes.  For  these 

purposes, the state uses a wide range of tools, from indirect methods of regulating the activities 

of  private  capital  in  the  world  market,  to  direct  participation  in  the  implementation  of  foreign 

economic programs.
