ABSTRACT
In this work, we investigated the physical properties at the contact of a semiconductor made of
single-crystal cadmium telluride with a gas discharge plasma. It is shown that the charge
carriers in the plasma, along with the incident infrared radiation, contribute to the enhancement
of the photocurrent in the gas-discharge cell. At sufficiently high voltages (more than 2.5 kV), a
positive feedback is observed in the gas-discharge cell associated with the action of the plasma
on the semiconductor surface.
