4. Research Aim and Methodology
The aim of the particular piece of research discussed in this paper has been to form a theoretical framework that can
provide the decision makers governing Saudi Arabian educational institutions with a proper insight and deeper
understanding of the factors that influence the use of Jusur LMS. The extensive review of already existing
publications relevant to this study enabled the author to determine the important variables related to the factors
influencing the use of LMS in higher education and identify those existing theories and models which could be
applied most appropriately in order to develop a relevant framework. The theoretical framework for the study was
constructed based on two well-known and tested theories, namely the Theory of Reasoned Action (Fishbein &
Ajzen, 1975) and Technology Acceptance Model (Davis, 1986).
