Table 1 the results of antioxidants activity using DPPH method showed that the extract of 
A. awamori 
UICC 9 in 
ethyl acetate solvent has an IC
50
value of 1359.5 µg/mL. This proved out that the extract produced a weak 
antioxidants activity since the value of Inhibition Concentration (IC
50
) is more than 200 µg/mL [2]. The antioxidants 
activity of 
A.awamori
UICC 9 extract is still below the antioxidants activity of synthetic BHT (14.17 µg/mL). This 
might due to the 
A. awamori
UICC 9 extract was impurity, still have contaminant compounds which do not have 
any antioxidants activity. The 
Aspergillus awamori
UICC 9 extract using ethyl acetate solvent contains some semi 
polar antioxidants compounds which increase the possibility to another polar compound [9].
CONCLUSIONS 
The yield results of 12 
Aspergillus s
pp. extracts were in range between 1.57% and 3.80 %. The highest yield was 
produced by 
A. niger
UICC 371 (3.8%). 
Aspergillus awamori
UICC 9 has a similar Rf value with the BHT standard 
and an antioxidants activity analysis using DPPH (2,2 diphenyl-1-picryhydrazyl) confirmed that 
Aspergillus 
awamori
UICC 9 has IC
50
value of 1359.5 µg/mL.
