• The teacher prints out a few pieces of information about one culture from the Internet (e.g., information about prejudices, conversational topics, body language, and table manners). An abundance of websites offer information about the world’s cultures for people doing business internationally and for tourists traveling abroad. But teachers may also decide to write the texts themselves. — First, students brainstorm what they know about a given culture. Then, they divide into teams and each team member receives a different text. Next, learners regroup so that all students with the same text form a new group; they read their texts together, helping each other understand the content.
