Glossary
Bourgeois - belonging to or characteristic of the middle class, typically with reference to its perceived materialistic values or conventional attitudes.
Antagonistic - showing or feeling active opposition or hostility towards someone or something.
Prosperity - the state of being prosperous.
Propaganda - information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.
Skeptical - not easily convinced; having doubts or reservations
Tycoon - a wealthy, powerful person in business or industry
Catastrophe - an event causing great and usually sudden damage or suffering; a disaster.
Fictitious - not real or true; imaginary or fabricated.
Monograph - a detailed written study of a single specialized subject or an aspect of it.
Myth - a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation
Sensationalism - empiricism that limits experience as a source of knowledge to sensation or sense perceptions.
Compatriot - a person born, residing, or holding citizenship in the same country as another
Preliminary - preceding or done in preparation for something fuller or more important.
Trilogy - a group of three related novels, plays, films
Vagrant - a person without a settled home or regular work who wanders from place to place and lives by begging.
Brothels - a house where men visit prostitutes.
Seums - Historically, surnames evolved as a way to sort people into groups - by occupation, place of origin, clan affiliation, patronage, parentage, adoption, and even physical characteristics (like red hair)
