INTRODUCTION (abstract of the doctoral (PhD) dissertation) 
 
The aim of the research 
is to study the vocabulary of judicial speech in the 
Uzbek language as a system, to define its groups by meaning and to investigate its 
semantic features; identify the probems and work out recommendations to solve 
them. 
The tasks of the research 
are: 
studying the oratory masterpieces of ancient Greece and Rome in comparison 
with the East; 
identifying the research on judicial oratory, on the basis of which the 
establishment of a peculiar direction of this study; 
determining the composition of the vocabulary of the judicial speech and 
analysing it with the division into semantic groups; 
establishing the layers of the vocabulary of judicial speech and defining the 
statistics of the units that make up this vocabulary; 
studying the semantic and stylistic features of the vocabulary of judicial 
speech and its units by means of analytical techniques of systemic lexicology; 
covering such semantic relations among the units of the vocabulary of judicial 
speech as synonymic, antonymic, hyponymic, partonymic, functionymic, 
graduonymic; 
offering proposals and recommendations for the application of individual 
units of the vocabulary of judicial speech into practice.
