Activity 1. Answer the questions:


    1. What the employee should do in order to be successful at his/her sphere?

1. First of all, the employee must be qualified in their field and at the same time be responsible for their own work.

    1. What kind of abilities should possess applicants at present time?

2. In my view, first they must have a good understanding of what they are claiming and of course they have to be responsible.

    1. What will be taken into account when applying to past time jobs?

3. Finding a part time job might sound a little less interesting than these measures, but it`s damn sure to be safer, offer a more regular income, and not get you into trouble with the parents.
Activity 2. Put the verbs in brackets in the correct tense forms of Present Simple, Present Perfect or Present Continuous.
- I learning Italian for 3 years, but still I don`t understand very much.

- What are you doing?

- I am writing a letter.

- You have sit at the desk for 2 hours already. I sit a difficult letter?

- Yes, I`ve decide to resign from my job.

- But how do you know you don’t like it?

Activity 3. Change the following direct speech into indirect.

Activity 4. Complete the questions. Use was/were - ing. Use what/where/why if necessary.

1. (you / live) Where were you living in 1995? In London.

2. (you / do) What were you doing at 2 o’clock? I was asleep.

7. (Tom / carry) Why Tom was carrying an umbrella this morning? Because it was raining.

8. (she / eat) What she was eating at 3 o’clock? An ice–cream.
