Monroe Township Community Center and great trips planned going to many fun and education facilities.

After Care Costs (Early Registration)
$23 per day or $350 for all 23 days
Cost includes supervision, snack and afternoon activities (2:00-5:00)
Extended Care until 6:00 is $7 dollars a day or $120 dollars for the 23 days!
10% discount for any additional siblings (only available for those that take part in the Early Registration)

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURE
Aftercare
The program is for campers attending the Monroe Summer Recreation Camp. Campers in (Grades 1-2 @ Mill Lake) will be walked over at 2:10 by our Active Kids of Monroe Staff to the Rec Center. Campers in (Grades 3-5) will remain at the Rec Center for After Care. (Grades 6-8 @ TBD*) will be bused over at 1:45-2:00 to Mill Lake School.**
Campers will then get a snack at 2:15-2:30 and then have an opportunity for arts and crafts/board games/athletic games.
Campers can be picked up at anything between 2:30-5:00 and extended care 5:00-6:00
*Monroe Twp. Middle School is the Tentative Site for Grades 6th-8th
**Please Note: Busing Fee might be added on for campers in Grades 6th – 8th at a later date
Drop-Ins
Must email activekidsofmonroe@gmail.com before 11:00 on the day of attending the Aftercare Program and be registered with the program.
Pick Up Policy
When enrolling your child for camp, you need to fill out a registration form listing all persons authorized to pick up your child from camp. If anyone else will be picking up your child from camp, a signed note from you, as well as, a valid photo ID from the person picking up your child will be required. All pick-ups will be required to show valid photo ID.
Late Pick Up Policy
On days that you are unable to pick up your child by 6:00, you must call to make arrangements. A $5 late fee will be charged beginning at 6:05 and an additional $5 late fee will be charged for each additional 5 minutes. All fees will be due at the time of pick up.

Campers will be assigned into one of our two camps:
Little Falcons Camp
Grades 1-4 (from there campers will be put in groups of 6-8 campers according to grade and sex)***
Falcons Camp
Grades 5-8 (also put into groups of 6-8 campers according to grade and sex)***
***Please Note: That is the grade they will be entering in the Fall for school
AUGUST DAY CAMP TRIP SCHEDULE
2 or 3 days a week, we will be leaving the Rec Center to go on some fun daily trips. The trip schedule is to TBD, but a list of possible destinations are below.
POSSIBLE TRIP DESTINATIONS
Clementon Splash World Park (144 Berlin Rd, Clementon, NJ 08021) Campers will get an opportunity to enjoy extreme rafting on the Sky River Rapids or take a plunge down Torpedo Rush as well as many other Slides/Rafts/Lazy River/Wave Pool activities.
Crayola Experience (30 Centre Square, Easton, PA 18042) A place where our campers can let their “creativity run free, to color outside the lines and to play, explore, and learn. This one-of-a-kind attraction is where color, chemistry, and technology magically combine to create a colorful adventure for a child’s imagination.”
Crystal Springs (380 Dunhams Corner Rd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816) Enjoy a summer day while relaxing at one of the 7 water amenities: Recreational Pool, Lap Pool, Splash Pool, Kiddie Pool, Activity Pool, Lazy River and Water Slides.
Diggerland Adeventure Park (100 Pinedge Court, West Berlin, NJ 08091) Children will be able to ride, drive and operate real machines in a fun and safe theme park.
Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom (3830 Dorney Park Road, Allentown, PA 18104) Enjoy one of the nation’s best amusement and water park.
Fun Plex (3320-24 US 38, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054) Enjoy unlimited attractions inside and out at Fun Plex. The attractions include Go Carts, Foam Frenzy, Laser Run, Bumper Boats, and Bowling.
Hurricane Harbor (Six Flags Blvd, Jackson, NJ) Campers will get to experience one of the best waterparks on the East Coast.
Ice Skating and Roller Skating (600 Main Street in Woodbridge NJ) Have your choice of Roller Skating and/or Ice Skating for the day with friends.
Movies AMC Freehold (101 Trotters Way, Freehold, NJ 07728) Movies TBD as we get closer to the summer.
Point Pleasant Aquarium, Boardwalk and Mini-Golf (300 Ocean Avenue, Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742) Enjoy a nice day down the Jersey Shore with a trip to the Aquarium, walk on the boardwalk and a round of Mini-Golf.
Sahara Sam’s (535 North Route 73, West Berlin, New Jersey) Enjoy one of the best indoor/outdoor water parks. Campers will get to enjoy the superfast Nile Mile, Surfing Simulator, and many other options including Slides/Pools/Lazy River.
Sandy Hook (128 South Hartshorne Drive, Highlands, NJ 07732) Enjoy an education and active day Hiking, Fishing, Birding, and going on a Lighthouse Tour at the great beach of Sandy Hook. This exhilarating day offers a guided tour with the National Parks and Services.
Sesame’s Place (100 Sesame Road Langhorne, PA 19047) Campers will enjoy the theme/water park and get an opportunity to see all their favorite Sesame’s characters through the park and in shows/parades.
Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline (2834 ROUTE 73 North, Maple Shade, NJ 08052) Have fun jumping and playing in NJ’s best indoor trampoline facility.
Somerset Patriots Minor League Baseball Game (860 East Main Street, Bridgewater Township, NJ 08807) Get a chance to see some of our brightest young stars with the Somerset Patriots as they take on Sugar Land Skeeters.
Sportika (323A Fairfield Road, Unit 10, NJ 07728) 26,000 Square foot sports facility where campers can play soccer, basketball, baseball/softball, wiffleball and futsol.
Tomahawk Lake (155 Tomahawk Trail, Sparta Township, NJ 07871) Campers will be able to swim, play outdoor games, and enjoy waterslides on the lake.
Wild West City (50 Lackawanna Drive, Stanhope, NJ 07874) A western heritage theme park that brings the old west back to life through portrayals of real-life western characters, legendary events and a frontier town re-creation. Also play Mini Golf, ride the train, see the barnyard zoo and pan for gold.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
August Day Camp
-Drop off will be between 8:00-8:30
-Camper check-in and morning activities
-If a trip is going that day, we will leave at 9:00
-Various trips to Active and Educational Facilities
-Lunch (Bring your own or purchase at the trip destination)
-Trip Returns between 3:30-4:30 (Trip updates of specific time will be posted daily on Active Kids of Monroe’s Facebook page)
-Pick up – will be between 3:30-5:00 (At your convenience, as long as we are back from the daily trip) All campers must be signed out by a family member or friend who was registered to pick that child up.
-Extended Care available from 5:00-6:00
DAILY CAMP SUPPLIES
Each day, the camper should bring the following items to camp (please label all items sent to camp with your child’s name):
-Backpack/Drawstring Bag
-Towel and Swimsuit/Extra Clothes (on waterpark days)
-Sun Screen Squeeze
-Water Bottle
-Sneakers
We request that you do not have your children bring in any electronics including cell phones. We are not responsible for any items lost. If you need to reach them, please reach out to us and we will be glad to put you in touch with your child.
JULY AFTER CARE AND AUGUST DAY CAMP CLUB DAYS @ ACTIVE KIDS OF MONROE
Club Days include a wide variety of opportunities to learning something new while being active. Campers can also sign up for slots to work quietly on summer Math and ELA assignments or enrichment with certified teachers to assist if needed.
-Black Light Glow Party Club: Design your own glow party room with fun accessories while dancing to your favorite music.
-Book Club: Bring your summer reading book or pick one from the Bookmobile (must have library card) and have a quiet place to read followed by book discussions with certified staff members.
-Field Day Club: Enjoy a round of Field Day games including Water Balloon Toss, Wet, Wet Dry, Egg Relay, and many more.
-Fitness Club: Break a sweat and learn some great ways to be active.
-Just Bead it Club: Make your own fun jewelry with friends.
-Math Enrichment Club: Bring your summer math packet or work on Math Enrichment activities with certified staff members.
-Messy Science Club: Do some of the most fun, hands on, messy experiments in this great club.
-Sports Club (Box Ball): Design your own box ball courts and play king of the court.
-Sports Club (Kickball): Enjoy one of the ultimate Summer Camp games with friends.
-Sports Club (Wiffleball): Learn how to throw a wicked curve while playing together with friends.

MINI-COURSES
Academic mini-courses have been added to our Active Kids of Monroe. Campers can sign up for any of our great mini-courses for an additional fee (Amount TBD). Listed below is a few of the mini-courses that will be offered:
NASA Kids Mini Course (Grades 1-4) Blast off from planet Earth and explore our Solar System. As part of the NASA’s kids club, you will take part in missions to learn about the world around us. You will even be required to create a survival kit for traveling to Mars and build a rocket to get there.
NASA Mini Course (Grades 5-8) Take part in the program of #WHYSPACEMATTERS. We will explore past, present and future NASA missions as well build our very own satellite and spacecraft.
(STEM) LEGO Design Squad Mini-Course (Grades 1-6) Using STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), kids will research, design, create and present their idea on how to solve a real world problem with Legos. This mini course will allow children to use critical thinking and one’s imagination to:
Design and build challenge solutions using LEGO® elements
Apply real-world math and science concepts
Research challenges facing today’s scientists
Learn team-building and presentation skill
Develop Show-Me posters to share what they’ve learned
Team Building and Leadership Mini-Course (Grades 1-4) and (Grades 5-8) Using STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), kids will research, design, create and present their idea on how to solve various real world problems. Activities also include fun hands on ideas such as building the tallest tower, strongest bridge, and creative Minute to Win It Activities. Tell your friends and sign up together!

This camp started out with many parents asking about extending the Monroe Summer Recreation Camp and providing opportunities for children of Monroe to have more social interaction while staying active. We are excited to offer more summer opportunities for our children by creating a positive experience for your children at an affordable cost.

REFUNDS
No refunds will be given for missed days after Registration closes. Returned checks will be assessed at an additional $25 fee if the check doesn’t clear.
SNACKS
Active Kids of Monroe will provide a nutritious snack for your child each day
STAFF
Our enthusiastic, experienced and highly trained staff will create a warm atmosphere where kids can be themselves. Staff Members will consist of Counselors and Supervisors that will be Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified. All of our staff members over the age of 18 receive a thorough background check through the State Police to insure your child’s safety. In addition, all staff members are required to attend a training session prior to the start of the camping season.
MEDICAL INFORMATION
You are required to fill out an information form on your child during registration. Medical conditions should be listed on this form. Please be sure to mention anything that will help our staff understand your child. Please be advised that we can only assist in providing medication to the child if given permission by a parent or guardian. Any additional concerns should speak with the Summer Camp Director Chris Sidler @ activekidsofmonroe@gmail.com.
MEDICATION
If your child has a doctor’s prescription and will need to take medication during camp hours, please send medication with written instructions and drop it off during sign in. Active Kids of Monroe can only assist in giving medication that is prescribed by a physician and that has been provided by the parent. This includes asthma medication and inhalers. Please put proper identification on all medication.
CODE OF CONDUCT
While with Active Kids, campers are expected to abide by the following rules:
1. Quiet down when directed
2. Respect other children, staff and property
3. Follow all staff directions
4. Stay with staff members at all times (including all trips)
5. Adhere to all rules regarding safety (on site and on trips)
6. Refrain from using foul language or other forms of verbal abuse
7. No fighting or physical altercations
8. At Active Kids of Monroe, we take bullying very seriously and follow all regulations to make sure students are provided a safe and fun summer experience.
