Leadership is the art of leading a group of people or an organization and influencing others to follow that direction. It may be defined as a position held by an individual in a group.  A leader is responsible for guiding a group of employees and developing and implementing a timeline for his team to reach their goal.

Leadership Qualities – Must have qualities of a great leader



  1. Great leaders choose their group very carefully. They normally select members for their team that are well – organized and self – disciplined. They prefer skills, knowledge, and experience rather than a certificate which states the achievement of finishing a course or a university degree.

  2. Great leaders inspire others. According to John Quincy Adams, if the action of a person inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more he is called a great leader. A great leader should always think positive and his positive approach must be visible through his actions.

  3. A great leader should be always committed and passionate about his Job. A committed leader always finds value and purpose in his organization and shares that commitment with his other team members. It also helps him to gain the respect of his other team members and boost extra energy to his team members which inspires them to perform better.

  4. Another great skill for effective management and leadership in decision making. A great leader must have the ability to take right decisions at right time. Leaders, who have well-developed decision-making ability, can make perfect choice from a number of options.

  5. Great leaders are also great communicators. If a leader wants to get results as early as possible, he must know how to communicate with his team and tell them the strategy to achieve the goal. If a person doesn’t know how to communicate with his team members effectively, he can never be a good leader.

Here, 5 different types of ways people tend to lead an organization called Leadership Styles.

– In democratic leadership, a leader makes decisions based on the suggestions taken from each team member. This type of leadership is one of the most effective styles of leadership. A true democratic leader must have some qualities like distribution of responsibility among the group members, empowering group members etc.

– It is completely different to Democratic Leadership. Here, the leader makes decisions without taking any input from the members of the team. Leaders of this style typically make choices based on their own idea and choices and they don’t want to take suggestions from others in decision making.

- In this type of Leadership Style Leaders generally allow other team members to make the decisions. It is also known as Delegative Leadership. It is directly opposite to Autocratic Leadership as in this leadership style the Leaders make few decisions and allow their team members to choose the appropriate one.

– Strategic Leaders have the ability to influence other team members to willingly take decisions that enhance the prospects of the long term success of the organizations by keeping in mind short time financial stability. This type of Leadership style can be treated as one of the best Leadership Style as strategic thinking plays an important role in making a Business successful.

– Transformational Leadership is defined as a Leadership approach in which a leader works with his team to identify the most needed change. This type of leadership style is always transforming and improving upon the Company’s conventions. This highly encouraged for of leadership quality motivates the employees to see what they are capable of.

once relatively rare, they now have

to compete with millions of other

video clips. Companies need to

spend more to give their message

an edge. Today, Robinson’s London

company, The Viral Factory, charges

$250,000 to $500,000 to create ads

he guarantees will reach a wide

audience.

Video sites

Not only do advertisers need to

spend more to make the ads, but

increasingly, they’re having to pay

to get them seen in the fi rst place.

Rather than waiting for new videos to

drop into their mail boxes, users are

now going to sites like YouTube for

entertainment. Many of the hundred

or so video sharing sites still don’t

charge for posting videos: they fear

that too many ads will drive away

audiences and stifl e user-created

content. After all, users go to these

sites to see the videos most people

fi nd interesting, not ones some

company paid to place. However,

the largest and most popular sites,

like YouTube, which shows about

100 million videos daily, already

sell some spots, though they won’t

disclose advertising fees.

Going mainstream

It makes sense that video-sharing

sites are wary of turning off users

with too many ads. Neither the sites

nor advertising companies want

virals to become the new online

spam. Still, with people spending

more time on the Net, and many

using video-friendly high-speed

connections, it seems highly likely

that viral video advertisements will

become mainstream before long.

And, as competition for online user

attention increases, companies will

be forced to do more to ensure their

ads are watched. That in turn could

encourage Web sites to charge more

for spots. The bar has been raised.
