Task 3
3.Write short summary about the text ''The generation who refuse to grow up'.
The text has touched one of the most significant issues of today. Nowadays, our young generation, people aged from 20 to 25 do not know what to do in the life. They have no any plan for the future.
It is true that most of the people nowadays are feared of responsibilities such as marriage, family, having children and so on. This situation is different in many countries, inasmuch as it depends on culture, national identity and mentality as well. According to the text, the most frequent answer from parent, "What is your plan?” many people answer I don’t know.
Parent always persuade their children to be ready for the life, save money for the house, settle down and star building their career, at least create a family. However, most of the youngsters do not want to do anything, either they do not know what to do. Sociologists argue that it does not depend on economy, for the blaming the expensive houses and so on. The key of this issue is fear of responsibilities.
Nowadays, people get married in 32-35 age, however, 30 years ago this data was quite shorter 22-25. According to the professor Furedi, today young people are spoilt with choice. In other words, they cannot decide independently what to do and make a choice by themselves.
Despite, there are people who begun to change their life style and bought a house, got married and started a family. They became much happier than before and successfully completed the life phase which is called “I don’t know”.
