ADJECTIVES

A. Adjectives are group of words that describe people or things. In English adjectives never take a plural form or changes.

a pretty girl an interesting game an intelligent student

a big house a boring film an obvious reason

примеры прилаг-х: young, old, rich, brown, beautiful, modern, purple,

clear, expensive, cheap и т.д.

исключения: this, that, во мн.числе these, those :

this cat – these cats that man – those men

this box – these boxes that computer – those

если к существительному с артиклем добавляем прилагательное, то артикль уже будет зависеть от первого звука прилагательного:



a person – an ugly person





an umbrella – a white umbrella

C. причастия настоящего и прошедшего времени (Present and past participle) тоже имеют признаки прилагательных.

Причастие настоящего времени образуется с добавлением “-ing” к глаголу (verb + ing) причастие прошедшего времени с добавлением“-ed” к правильным глаголам или неправильные глаголы 3 форма (see List of Irregular verbs).

Present participle примеры: amusing, boring, tiring, shocking и т.д

Past participle примеры: amused, bored, tired, shocked и т.д
