LOCATION: Greensburg YMCA, 101 South Maple Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601
FACILITY: Six lane, 25-yard pool with Daktronic touch pads, timing and starting with manual backups.
TIME: This is a two session meet by age.
A warm up schedule will be emailed in advance of the meet.
Morning Session, ages 10 and under (Flipper, Novice, Cadet)
Warm-ups start at 7:45 AM; Meet starts at 8:40 AM (subject to change)
Afternoon Session, ages 11 and over (Prep, Junior, Senior)
Warm-ups start at 12:15 PM, Meet starts at 1:00 PM (subject to change)
AGE: Age as of December 1, 2016.
Swimmers will be classified for results and awards as follows:
Flippers (6 and under) Prep (11-12)
Novice (7-8) Junior (13-14)
Cadet (9-10) Senior (15-18)
DEADLINE: The Entry Deadline is 11:59 PM, Monday, January 9, 2017. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
ENTRIES: Swimmers may compete in 4 (FOUR) individual events, plus 1 (ONE) relay. NO TIME (NT) ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If a swimmer does not have an actual time, an approximation must be submitted. The meet Director reserves the right to return entries in order to control meet duration.
Each “Mixed Relay” team may consist of all male, all female or any combination thereof. For the morning session, a Mixed Relay team may consist of any combination of Flipper, Novice and Cadet swimmers. For the afternoon session, a Mixed Relay team may consist of any combination of Prep, Junior and Senior swimmers.
All entries must be submitted electronically as a Hy-Tek meet entries zip to email@example.com. The email should include the Team Name, the number of individual entries, the number of relay entries and the Team Entry Chair contact information. You will receive a confirmation email that your entries have been received. If you do not receive confirmation, we do not have your entries.
A hard copy of the meet entries, the meet entry fees report and the emergency contact information form must be received by Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

SEEDING:This is a pre-seeded meet. All events are timed finals and will be seeded slowest to fastest regardless of sex or age of the swimmer. Morning Session: Seeding will occur on the pool deck at the shallow end. Afternoon Session: Swimmers should report directly to the blocks. Results will show places in each Division by sex, except for “Open” events.
RULES: Current USA/YMCA Swimming rules will govern this meet. Any inquiries must be made by the head coach only and directed to the Meet Referee. Videotapes are not permitted for review. ONLY coaches, swimmers, and meet personnel will be permitted on deck. Swimmers and coaches are asked to refrain from walking in front of the timing/scoring table.
AWARDS: Medals will be presented to the top 9 (nine) finishers in each event for both male and female in each Division, except for “Open” events, where no Division distinctions will occur. Team Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 (three) teams, male and female combined scores.
CONDUCT: Parents and Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers throughout the building. The Meet Committee reserves the right to eject any individual for rules violations or inappropriate behavior. For the safety of all attendees, gymnastics, running and ball throwing are prohibited. Swimmers are not permitted to have their swim gear in the pool area stands. All swimmers will be in the gym. Spectators are asked to remain in the gym with your swimmer between events and to promptly move from the pool bleachers after your swimmer has completed an event.
CONCESSIONS: A wide variety of breakfast, lunch and snack items will be available to purchase.
SWIM GEAR: Swimmer’s Network will be on site with a full range of swim gear and apparel to purchase.
