Semiconductor microdisk lasers (MDLs) are of great interest due to various applications in
optical communication, spectroscopy and throughput biosensing [1]. Whispering-gallery mode
(WGM) microdisk lasers base on total internal refraction along the concave disks surface. Metal-
halide perovskites represent a promising class of materials for advanced micro laser technology.

Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) had demonstrated excellent optical properties, such
as high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), large absorption coefficient and narrow emission
peak. The disadvantage of PQDs, which limits their application in optoelectronic devices, is lack of
stability which could be solved by incorporation of PQDs into polymer matrices.
Laser ablation was used for producing of MDLs by PeroLab ITMO University last year [2]. In this
work we propose to use more simple, fast and scalable method named inkjet printing to produce
WGM MDLs (Fig.1).

The method of inkjet printing allows for a high-precision location of individual drops (drop-
on-demand method) on the surface of the substrate, as well as to control the volume of the drop, and
thus to dose equal concentrations of nanoparticles on the substrate. Despite the disadvantages of this
method, such as necessity to optimize the printing parameters for each composition, the ink
application parameters (the size and shape of the supplied pulse, the speed of extrusion of drops and
the geometry of their location, the drying parameters) are the determining factors for the creation of
optical devices with high resolution and controlled structure. Our study tries to answer on fundamental
question of relationship between the type of polymer matrix and optical properties of perovskite
quantum dots.

and in a polymer solution in xylene or
dichloroethane were prepared. Such rheological parameters of inks as viscosity, surface tension and
dzeta-potential were investigated. The relationship of the quantum yield of luminescence on the
concentration of quantum dots and the nature of the polymer matrix were studied. It was determined
that using polymers and solvents with amino-groups led to disappearance of PL. The best results of
PLQY were achieved for polystyrene (PS) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), while
polydimethylsiloxane, poly(dimethyldiallyl ammonium bromide), polyethylene oxide and
poly(vinyliden fluoride) were less effective as a matrix for PQDs. The dependence of PLQY on
concentration of QDS has maximum: for PS, it is 0.3 mg/m and 43.4% PLQY, and for PMMA 0.3 mg
/ ml, 14.7% PLQY, respectively.
