In the story Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, the author has described Jane Eyre as a woman with many wonderful beauties of mind. In details, she is well-known as an independent, autonomous, determined woman and a passionate lover.
First of all, Jane is an independent, autonomous, and determined woman. When St. John makes a proposal to her, she refuses it and decides to come back to find Rochester. Her reply to St. John shows clearly that she is independent in decision making, she know what is right or wrong, and Jane is even independent in her financial when she goes on a journey by herself.
Besides, Jane is also a passionate lover. Charlotte Bronte described her feelings toward Mr. Rochester very carefully when she came back to him. She has many things in her mind right from the beginning when she prepared to come back to Thornfield Hall. She can feel the “unspeakable strangeness”, “the wondrous shock of feeling has come like the earthquake”. Her strong love is also expressed through her thinking when she came back to Thornfield Hall, where she can single out her master’s every window”. And last but not least, her burning love also can be shown through the way she call Rochester: ”my Mr. Rochester”.
