Trend in conflict prevention and resolution

Through most classical and modern, events other scholars suggest that conflict study as a 
distinct discipline per se arose out of the World War I. Over 80 years, thousands of research

inherent nature of man, the structural nature of violence and the pursuit of power as a dominant 
determinant of conflict, Attempts at correlating aggression and frustration with basic human needs 
theory resulted to hypotheses and conceptual constructs that were potentially mere testable than 
those emanating from oral philosophy and traditional historical-explanation. Social psychology, 
sociology - and organizational methods provide generating mechanisms, processing and 
interpreting the nature and process of conflict by the amount of data underpinned since the 1970s. 
Traditional conflict is - predominantly concerned with inter-state behavior, and domestic or family 
conflict was relegated to the category of aberrant or immoral behaviours, amongst other theoretical 
constructs, human needs theory and subsequently the world society paradigm suggested that all 
conflict has basic patterns and characteristics.
Conflict, has to be understood as potentially endemic in all systems of prevention or 
resolution of conflict at one level, it does suggest also conflict resolution and prevention solutions 
at another level. Structural sources of conflict that reflect the effects
 
of institutional and 
organizational benavior and future multi-centrism that may as well-lead to conflict based upon 
fragmentation of interest and authority providing solution on the interface between the perpetrators 
of violence and civil authorities, in multidimensional and cross impact analysis that provide needed 
assistance to understand a situation with a. view to contend against conflict escalation.
