Summer Youth Employment Program
Specifications:

- Must live in County Commission Districts 1, 3, 4, 5 or 6

- Must be AGE 14 to 21, able to work in the US

- Must have a picture ID & Social Security Card

- 20 hours paid training

- 95 hours of paid work GUARANTEED

- Household income cannot exceed the HHS

150% poverty guidelines (see back for details)

    • District 1 Commissioner - Barbara J. Jordan

Represents the cities of Opa Locka and Miami Gardens, including the following communities of Carol City, Norland, Crestview, Rolling Oaks, Bunche Park, Scott Lakes, and Andover. Portions of North Miami Beach and North Miami


    • District 3 Commissioner – Audrey M. Edmonson

District 3 covers much of the City of Miami, including the communities of Liberty City, Little Haiti, Overtown, the Upper East Side, Allapattah and Wynwood, as well as the Village of El Portal and the City of Miami Shores. 


    • District 4 Commissioner - Sally A. Heyman

The 13 cities that comprise this district include Golden Beach, AventuraNorth Miami BeachNorth MiamiSunny Isles , BeachSurfsideBal HarbourBay Harbor IslandsBiscayne Park, Indian Creek, Miami BeachMiami Shores and North Bay Village.


    • District 5 Commissioner - Bruno Barreiro

Includes portions of the Cities of Miami and Miami Beach, as well as the communities of

Little Havana, Downtown, and South Beach.




    • District 6 Commissioner - Rebeca Sosa

Represents the cities of West Miami and Miami Springs. Also includes portions of Hialeah, Miami and Coral Gables.
