Traditions and traditions

  • The main features of the Uzbek family are hospitality and traditional respect for older people. Uzbeks usually live in large families of several generations, so they like large houses with more courtyards. A teasering ceremony that is part of the hospitality of the household will play a major role

At the same time, resting tea and pouring it out to guests will only be the host's exclusive right. It is accepted to always accept invitations to lunch or dinner and arrive on time. It's good to get souvenirs or desserts for the host's children with him on the way to the guest. Usually only men are asked by hand. Women and those who sit longer should be greeted with their right hand in their hearts and bowed their heads calmly.

Traditions

  • The traditions of the Uzbek people have been composed of complex processes in harmonizing the cultural heritage and traditions of all tribes and nations that have participated in the establishment of the Uzbek nation for centuries. They are very specific, bright and diverse, and breeding stems from patriarchal relationships. Most of the traditions are related to family life and involve the birth and upbringing of a child (a baby's wedding, a mistake), marriage (photo wedding, wedding).

They often demonstrate the incomprehensible penetration of Islamic tradition into even more ancient forms associated with the practice of witchcraft. Since the adoption of Islam, many family traditions have changed under his influence, and Muslim ceremonies have entered the lives of Uzbeks. Friday is a holiday, and on that day, a general prayer (prayer) is recited at the mosque where all gathered. Patriarchal traditions still live in social life, which takes place in mosques, dining rooms, markets, and is attended only by men.

Cradle wedding

A cradle wedding is a ceremonial holiday that is celebrated for the first time, involving the laying of a baby in a cradle. This is one of the most ancient and most common ceremonies in Uzbekistan. This wedding is usually held on the 7th, 9th, 11th day of the birth of the baby. In different provinces, the ceremony will have its own characteristics and will depend on the level of wealth of the family: self-sufficient families usually hold this wedding on a large scale, and poor families celebrate it modestly. All necessary andoms for the cradle and the baby are given by relatives of the baby mother.

Bread, sweets, and toys are wrapped around the table. Gifts are prepared for the parents of the baby, his grandparents. Richly decorated cradles, tables and gifts are placed in the vehicle, and together with guests, under the sounds of trumpets and noggins, the baby's parents are sent home. Traditionally, the brought cradle is first placed on the baby's grandfather's right shoulder, then handed over to his son's son's shoulder, which gives the cradle to the baby's mother. In the past, they would rub white flour on their faces so that all the intentions of the guests could be clean and good
