EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: This paint will not burn until water has evaporated. For residual solids use Dry Chemical, CO2, Foam, and Water Fog.

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Do not enter confined fire space without adequate protective clothing and an approved positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus. Closed containers may explode when exposed to extreme heat. Use water to cool fire exposed containers. Avoid spreading burning liquid with water used for cooling purposes.

UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSITION HAZARDS: This material can splatter if temperature exceeds boiling point. The residual solids are capable of burning and giving off carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Avoid excessive heat, open flames and all ignition sources.

SECTION VI – HEALTH HAZARD DATA
ROUTE(S) OF ENTRY: Inhalation, skin contact, eye contact and ingestion.

EFFECTS OF OVER EXPOSURE:



Inhalation: Adverse health effects from vapors or spray mists in poorly ventilated areas may include irritation of the mucous membranes of the nose, throat and respiratory tract and symptoms of headache and nausea.

Skin and Eye contact: Prolonged or repeated contact with skin may cause skin and eye irritation.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:



Inhalation: Move victim away from source of exposure and into fresh air.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing, wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Wash clothing before re-use.

Eye contact: Promptly and thoroughly flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes and consult a doctor if irritation persists.

Ingestion: If victim is conscious, give 2 glasses of water to drink and call a physician. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
SECTION VII – PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE

SPILL / LEAK PROCEDURES: Eliminate all ignition sources. Ventilate area. If large spill, dike area to prevent this material from entering water or sewer systems. Recover free liquid, pickup the remaining spill with absorbent material such as sawdust, sand or vermiculite and place material into a closed container for disposal. Wash area with water and detergent. Notify appropriate agency(ies) if spill exceeds 220 pounds.


WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: ALL DISPOSAL PROCEDURES MUST COMPLY WITH LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS. Refer to hazard caution information in other sections of the MSDS.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORING: Product should be stored at room temperature to prolong storage life. Keep from freezing so product does not coagulate. Do not apply when temperature is below 50 deg. F / 10 deg. C. Shake or stir well before using.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS: Do not take internally. Close container after each use. Keep away from children. Avoid prolonged contact with skin or breathing of spray mist. This product contains no mercury or lead pigment.
SECTION VIII – CONTROL MEASURES
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: A canister-type respirator must be worn to prevent the inhalation of vapor or spray mist when TLV PEL is exceeded.

VENTILATION: 200 CFM MINIMUM is required during normal use. Local ventilation may be required in certain cases to keep exposure level below the limits listed in Section II of the MSDS.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Use impermeable gloves to minimize skin contact.

EYE PROTECTION: Wear face shield or chemical goggles.

HYGENIC PRACTICES AND OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Wash hands before eating or using the washroom. Smoke in smoking area only. Use protective cream where skin contact is likely. Wear protective clothing to prevent skin contact. An eye wash station / safety shower should be available.
