HELP WANTED
Chickasaw County is seeking a full-time (35 hrs/week) Environmental Health Director/Land Use Administrator. Duties shall include issuing well permits, inspecting well construction, issuing private sewage disposal permits, inspecting private sewage disposal construction, completing the master matrix processes for animal confinement facilities, inspecting well plugging and rehabilitation. Additionally, the holder of this position shall participate in the Iowa Grants to Counties program and shall be required to draft and maintain county ordinances in accordance with Iowa Code. Additional duties include the review of applications for proposed divisions of land and the processing of applications of variance requests. Must possess a bachelor’s degree and/or four years of relevant experience, computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Applications), and have excellent communication skills.
