ST. JOHN’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN EAST WINDSOR

Announcements for 19 July, 2015

Good morning, All! It’s a summertime Sunday – how good to be together. A few notes for the new week:

CIRCUS SMIRKUS this afternoon! Two shows at South Windsor High School Practice Field: 1pm & 6pm. Presented by Silk City Chorus and the award winning Vermont Youth Circus! “This Summer’s show is themed “Bon Appétit!,” exploring the culinary arts and food’s fantastic flavors in our Big Top bistro. It’s a multiple course menu with acrobatic hors d’oeuvres, juggling sous chefs, sweet and sour unicycles, and high frying aerialists. Every delicious discovery is freshly baked fun, spiced with excitement, sautéed in silliness, with a pinch of whimsy.” http://smirkus.org/big-top-tour/#big-top

PAULINE’S STOCKPOT KITCHEN serves this Friday, July 24, and we are in real need of more volunteers for our every-fourth-Friday offering, serving the Community Dinner at Wesley Methodist Church up the street from us. There are three overlapping shifts: 10:00 a.m: preparation of food and set up of tables and stations; 4:30 serving and assisting at the tables, and 6 pm clean up. As well as adding to our core group of volunteers, we need "on occasion" people to call upon as needed. Please contact the Corriveaus: 860.749.3525, the Sawtelles:860.534.1685, or the Starskis:860.558.4278 to let us know that you’d like to help out. Thank you! The more hands we have, the easier - and more fun - this great community service can be!

Don’t our grounds look beautiful? DANDELION ENVELOPES are ready for your ongoing contributions to keep our grounds tended and welcoming. Thank you for helping St. John’s to look her best!

BULLETIN FOLDERS are needed to join our new team every Friday at 2 pm. Come and join in!
