Presentation in 5 steps
TOPIC: Storytelling
Student ID and name: 49647 and Izzatbek Odiljonov
Step 1 : determining the purpose of the presentation, including the recipient of this presentation.
|
It is critical to determine the goal of the presentation. The atmosphere of the presentation can be set based on the purpose.
Reasons of presentation can be:
For this particular presentation, it is about to instruct and educate.
|
Step 2 : identify the main points / arguments of the presentation
|
Every piece of writing has a purpose. It might be to entertain, convey feelings, inform, or for any number of other reasons. My presentation follows a logical structure, and from early on argues about qualities of a storyteller, and its whole proccess. Main arguments are presented from the beginning, and this doesn’t end till the end.
|
Step 3 : remodeling - how to say it in a more interesting way, how to focus your attention.
|
You can see that the presentation I created uses different thumbnails, figures to absorb the focus of a listener, as well as making itself more interesting and attractive. For the listeners there are some suggestions on how to focus. Eliminate Distractions, It's not always as simple as it sounds to reduce these sources of distraction. While it may be as simple as turning off the television or radio, dealing with an interrupting coworker, spouse, child, or roommate may be far more difficult. Limit Your Focus, while multitasking may appear to be an excellent approach to get a lot done fast, it turns out that humans are actually rather lousy at it. Juggling numerous jobs at once reduces productivity and makes it difficult to focus on the aspects that are genuinely essential.
|
Step 4 : choose an adequate form/ structure of the presentation
|
After you've determined your primary message and important points, the following step is to organize the material of your presentation. A presentation, like other kinds of academic writing, in my view, may be divided into three parts: an introduction that details the aim and organization of the talk; a body that covers the important themes; and a conclusion that summarizes and highlights the value of your speech.
|
Step 5 : identify the "Strong start" and "strong end" (possibly: call to action)
|
It is essential to engage the audience right away. Here are my strategies for starting a presentation :
Shock the audience.
There are numerous techniques to shock your audience, such as showing a hilarious video, using a prop, beginning by chatting to audience members, mocking something, and so on.
Ask the audience to "imagine" or think "what if"?
Asking your audience to picture something or to consider a 'what if' scenario encourages them to visualize and engage their imagination. You may use this strategy to elicit specific emotions, which are generally the feelings you have about the same object.
Well-executed closing statements can linger with audience members in a powerful way. For the ending part of a presentation, here are some of my strategies:
Finish with a captivating narrative.
The narrative might be from a case study or something personal to you as the presenter. In either situation, rely on an emotionally appealing tale to entice your audience rather than data or broad generalizations.
Return to your opening statement.
Use the conclusion of your presentation to effectively explain the most essential concept of your lecture. To bring your argument full circle, use your last seconds to summarize the important points of your overall lecture, then close with the same message you delivered at the beginning of your presentation.
