Mount Wolf Elementary PTO held its meeting on August 10, 2015 in the library.
Board Members in Attendance were: Shannan Adams, Sarah Wooden, Michelle Delaney, Tara Nolte and Chris Heiland
PTO Members in Attendance were: Mrs. Welker, Linnaya Graff, Melissa Sandds, Ms. Felty, Rebecca Csutoras, Kelly Gipson
Approval of minutes: Sarah made the motion to approve the minutes from May 4, 2015 and the motion to approve was 2nd by Chris.
President’s Report – Shannan Adams

Mount Wolf Building Preview will be held on Wednesday 8/19 from 4-5:30. Volunteers are needed to direct parents to the appropriate rooms
Vice President’s Report – Sarah Wooden

PTO meetings will be held at 6:15pm this year and not at 6:30pm
Treasurer’s Report – Michelle Delaney

Checkbook balance is currently $917.72

Budget from last year and this year is complete

Last year, we did not bring in the projected amount but we did spend the budgeted amount

The goal this year is to have $2000 in the checkbook balance at the end of the year
Principal’s Report – Randi Payne

Terri, an Administrative Intern, will be here for the fall semester

New staff this year include paraprofessional Lori Kunsselman, Morgan Dougherty as Kindergarten teacher, Lauren Loughman as Kindergarten teacher and Danielle Myers as a 3rd grade teacher

Kindergarten T-shirts for the class of 2028 will be provided by the PTO – order forms will be provided at kindergarten orientation so that parents can mark the appropriate size for their child

FBLA spirit sale will not be offering building specific items for sale this year. We are still going to do a special order just for Mount Wolf spirit wear. The PTO gets a profit from any Mount Wolf sales but not from Northeastern ones

Kindergarten orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 4:00 – Kindergarten students will come with their parents and meet their teachers

Open house for grades 1, 2 and 3 will be held on August 27th at 6:00pm

Website for the yearbook is set up for this year and we are waiting on the welcome packet

3rd grade students will submit designs for the cover of the yearbook – the entire school will vote on the designs – the deadline to have the design in is November 15th but we can submit later if we give the company advance notice

This year we will charge $19 for the yearbooks and an additional $2 for a personalized message since the price of the yearbook has gone up

This year the company is offering a free student personalization of the yearbook for each student
Fundraising – Angie Lesher

Kidstuff books will be ready to go by the 1st full week of school

Wolfgang candy fundraisers go out on September 14th and are due back by October 5th. Pickup will be on November 4th during parent-teacher conferences

Angie is working on setting up an American Girl Doll Bingo fundraiser – she is having trouble getting sponsers for the dolls – we are looking at having 20 games and every 4-5 games will have a doll as a prize – we have obtained 2 dolls and some outfits already – looking at possibly having families donate a doll or outfit

Another fundraising idea is to have a Mommy and Me paint night – charge $10-15/person and have it at Mount Wolf and have the artist bring supplies – more information will be forthcoming on this

We will hold our next meeting on September 4th at 6:15 in the library
