Line 1 Currently Reads:
“LOT = ACRES
Mechanical Brush Mulching on Gum Cove Prairier, a 110 acre site near Hackberry in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
To improve coastal prairie habitat by mechanically mulching/grinding woody brush and trees.
Vendor will mechanically grind into mulch all woody vegetation to ground level, except trees whose ground-line diameters are 12" or greater. Live oaks (Quercus virginiana) are to be avoided, when practical. Vendor will utilize appropriate equipment to accomplish the objective and avoid adverse site damage such as soil compaction and excessive rutting.
The project site is 110 acres, with brush and small trees covering approximately 30 acres. The project site is located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, approximately 12 miles west of Hackberry.
Bid amounts to be submitted are for total cost for mulching brush and trees across entire project site (110 acres). In the event a lesser quantity (number of acres) is needed, the right is reserved by the State of Louisiana to decrease the amount of acreage, at the cost per acre vendors are to state below:
STATE COST PER ACRE:_______________________________
Timing and Weather Conditions:
This contract will begin from date of award until the end of the project. Brush mulching will optimally be completed between date of award and 31 October, 2016; completion of work outside this period is permitted with written approval by LDWF. Dry site conditions are required to perform this work to avoid soil damage.”
