Bids may be submitted and updated online until March 3, 2015 at 10:00 PM. At that time bids will be read aloud at West Norriton Township Municipal Building, 1630 West Marshall Street, Jeffersonville, PA 19403. All documents and solicitation details are available any time on the PennBID website at www.ebidexchange.com/pennbid. Click on the "Solicitations" then "View" tabs. Interested bidders need to register at the PennBID website. Once registered, bidders can obtain all project documents and submit and update their bids online. Only bids submitted online will be considered. Hard copies of bid documents will not be provided. The work will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, providing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for cleaning of main line sanitary sewers, CCTV inspection of 96,246 linear feet of gravity sewer, televising and inspection of 1,715 lateral sewers, inspection of 435 sanitary sewer manholes including frames and covers as well as other work further described in the contract documents. Replacement of the existing 8" or 10" sewer line, and repair of the existing manhole may be required depending on the condition of the sewer pipe A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM on February 10, 2015 at the West Norriton Township Municipal Building, 1630 West Marshall Street, Jeffersonville, PA 19403. Attendance is strongly recommended, but not mandatory. Questions received after February 23, 2015 regarding the project will not be acknowledged. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening after bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids. All Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form and on each bidding alternative. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. This contract is subject to the following: the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; the Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002; the Pennsylvania One Call Act, also known as the Underground Utility Line Protection Law, Act 287 of 1974, as amended; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 Conditions; the non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations Conditions; the Pennsylvania Steel Procurement Act; and the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012.
