I'm Turdimuratov Miratdin. I am 22 years old and a 2nd course student at the Department of English Language and Literature of Foreign Language Faculty in Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Ajiniyaz.
This year (2nd course) I had a training practice, during the 1 month (March), in a home-museum of Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratovs. Our task was to do our own portfolio on this museum. My portfolio contains all my works, acts, knowledge and information about the museum and its founders, which I gathered and got during the all period of practice.

Day 1
Today, the first day of our practice, we were gathered in the assembly hall to explain the essence of our museum practice, headed by our methodologist B.Arziyeva,she explained to us our responsibilities and rules for passing the practice.We got acquainted with some of the tasks that students must complete before the end of practical work in the museum,after getting to know we were looking forward to our address,the address of the museum in which we will spend unforgettable moments it was the house of the museum of Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratov,it was something new for me and I am very glad to visit new places of our city.
The house museum of the spouses Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratova is one of the first private museums in Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan.It was founded in 1999 by the personal funds of the Shamuratova’s children.The museum contains the richest collection of Amet Shamuratov(1912-1953) who was a writer,a poet,a playwright,a translator,a statesman and his wife Ayimkhan Shamuratova(1917-1993).She was one of the first woman in the history of Karakalpakstan who played on the theater stage.She played a hundred roles and had a unique voice.

Day 2
Today we get information from Ayimgul Sh,who is the daughter of Amet and Ayimxan Sh.
Shamuratova Ayimgul - a director of a museum named after "Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratovs", was born in 1953 on April, 20 in Nukus. She is the wife of Sultamurat Taubaldiev ( the organizer of the museum of Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratova).
She is engaged in charity, helps the children-invalids and collects antiques for the museum. In 2004 she received an award "For the higher merits to Fatherland" from the hands of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan I.A.Karimov. Develops tourism in Karakalpakstan, has helped to open the first travel company "Ayim-tour" in Nukus and the hotel "Jipek joli". She has also educated a plenty of the schoolboys, has prepared the recruits in the higher educational institutions, now she is a tutoress of youth at the museum and hotel.
Day 3
Today,I learned about Amet Shamuratov’s writing pieces which I can’t expected that he wrote from his life experience the works name ‘’My meetings with tigers”.I couldn’t take my eyes from reading it. I understand that whenever he goes,travels he come across to the tigers.One of the part of the story he helped to one tiger to pull out the tree’s needle from tiger’s paw.The tiger for saying thank you give one sheep.I thought it was so dangerous to pull out the needle from tiger’s paw ,the tiger might bite or eat him.
Day 4
Today I want to observe the collections of the museum.I came across to the a lot of works of art.There are many art works such as:the portrait of Amet Shamuratov done by Islam Alibekov,the portrait of Ayimkhan Shamuratova,’’Ilaq oyini” by S.Baybosinov which represents Karakalpak national games,the winner would be given horse or expensive material,”Sawkele” by V.Japarov which worn by Karakalpak girls in the wedding days,’’Fisherman and Aral’’ by Raphael Matevosyan that fisherman coped with one week’s food to eat.

Day 5
Today is the fifth day of our practice. So our theme today was educational part of the museum which called “Pachemuchka”.
Our accidentally meeting with this learners was very interesting. They could translate the animals' name into russian and english. And also they may sang songs in English. They were very smart.
So In 2001 year in Nukus at the fund and the museum was opened a comprehensive school for children "Pochemuchka". Pochemuchka teaches the childrens to English, Russian, mathematics, drawing, singing, etc. There are also have courses in English and Russian.
Also in 2009 a sewing workshop and a workshop for teaching hand-made national embroidery were opened. Also there held conference, seminars, meetings with famous people of the city of Nukus and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Day 6
At 9 00 pm we studied about songs which was sang by Ayimxan Sh.
Firstly I should say that the books and the collections of songs of Ayimkhan Shamuratova "Nigorim" are issued and a series of the publications in magazines of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are published.
While being still a little girl, Ayimxan eagerly song Karakalpak folk songs, melodies in herself, which have become verses of Karakalpak classic poets in folk songs. She started alone, and then in the presence of people selflessly song them. She performed live folk songs “Bozatau”, “Aksyngul”, “Chimbay”, etc. These songs were also recorded on a record them. "Bozatau" is the song, which reflected the events of the national liberation movement. In an effort to get rid of the oppression of the Khiva khans, the Karakalpaks raised an uprising against Khiva in 1858. The poem describes the tragic situation in which the conquered fell. Author with deep sadness says goodbye to his native land, cursing the bays, atalyks, khans - the true culprits of these sufferings.


Day 7
Today we read personal letters and telegrams written to the Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratovs. We opened a separate, one might say, reading room. But this room is a little small. We entered in one by one and started reading letters and telegrams. Many telegrams were with congratulations in connecting with various holidays, concerts or events. Unfortunately, we did not understand some of the entries because of their differently print.
I want to write some examples of these telegrams. Here is a telegram addressed to Ayimxan Shamuratova:
«Tell your health. Can you talk on the phone. Hello= Ayimkhan».
Many celebrities wrote to him such as Kallibek Kamalov with his wife Lyuba, Ibrayim Yusupov and many others. Now some telegrams that came to Ayimkhan Shamuratova:
«It gave me great joy to see your broadcast on television. I wish you great happiness, good health to your family= People`s Artist of the Kazakh SSR Ilohunova Rawshangul».
Day 8
T oday is the eighth day of our practice.
We learned about Sultamurat Taubaldiev. In Karakalpakstan, under his leadership, many houses of rural areas were built. He also built kindergartens, schools, mosques, state institutions, hospitals and so on. He built 2 many-storey houses, two schools in rural locations, each 150 km from Nukus, in the town of Mangit and in the town of Kungrad. In 1999 he built the first house museum in Karakalpakstan named after Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratova. He built the museum for his money with his wife Ayimgul Shamuratova. Near the museum of Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratova he built a hotel called "Jipek-Joli" ("Silk Road”) and also participated in the period of a construction of a new hotel building. Despite a very difficult childhood, Sultan studied perfectly well and after graduating the school, he went to Moscow and entered the higher technical school named after Bauman.S uccessfully finishing it, he entered in graduate school. After graduating from graduate school, he came back to Nukus, and married Ayimgul, the youngest daughter of Ayimkhan Shamuratova.
Day 9
Today’s theme was the role of Ayimxan Shamuratova in playrights
For the long years of a 60-year scenic activity at the theatre of musical drama and comedy Ayimkhan Shamuratova succeeded in creating more than 100 valuable female images. The play "Bagdagul" by Seyfulgabit Madjitov, "Gulsara" by Kamil Yashen, "Begjapskaya tragedy" by L.Tilegenov.
Gulparshin from a musical drama "Alpamis" by N.Davrakaraev."Raushan" from the same name musical drama by J.Aymurzaev and T.Allanazarov.
Shakhsanem from a lyrical musical drama "Garip ashik" (The Enamored Garip) by A.Begimov.
T.Allanazarov, Tolganay from a heroic drama "a Maternal field" by Ch.Aytmatov.
Also she skillfully performed the roles of the women of Kazakh, Uzbek, Russian, Turkmen, Azerbaijan and many other peoples of former republics of CIS. She represented the Karakalpak theatrical art with dignity on a stage of well-known theatres of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan etc.
Day 10
On our tenth day of our practice we get new information about son and daughters of Amet and Ayimxan Sh.
Shamuratova Ayimgul is an English teacher and director of the museum "Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratova".
Shamuratova Zulfiya - associate professor and a teacher of the foreign literature at Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named by Ajiniyaz.
Shamuratov Berdimurat (1946-2012).-had worked as an assistant of the chairman of Minister Council of Karakalpakstan and a manager of the department.
Shamuratova Zuxra (1942-1996)-had worked for many years as a teacher of geography at the Insitute name dafter Nizami in Tashkent.
Shamuratova Ziyada (1943) - had worked as a director of the House of Culture attached to Aralvodstroy. (Aral Water Construction)
Shamuratova Guljaxan was born 8 April, 1939 in Turtkul. Graduated from school named after Pushkin in Nukus. After graduating the school she entered to the Nukus Pedagogical institute naned after Ajiniyaz to the faculty Russian language and literature.


Day 11
Today we gathered the collection of the museum.
All the collection is located in three halls. A decoration of the museum is "Kara Uy" (Otau), "Yurta"–is the ancient dwelling of Karakalpak people. There is many manual carpet products. The museum is also rich in the manuscript of Amet Shamuratovin Farsi, Latin, Russian and Karakalpak, and the manuscript of Ayimkhan Shamuratovasof the letter and telegrams of the famous people, writing to them. The books and the collections of songs of Ayimkhan Shamuratova "Nigorim" are issued and a series of the publications in magazines of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are published.
In the museum, we can listen to the songs in the performance of Ayimkhan Shamuratova and look archival video materials about her. In the museum not only exhibits belonging to Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratovs are located, but also the photo documents of the outstanding and famous writers, actors and state figures. It is the academician Marat Nurmuxamedov, Mateke Djumanazarov, Sabir Kamalov, Pressing Davkaraev, Japak Shamuratov, Maten Seytniyazov, Reymbay Seytov, Gulxan Shirazieva, Irisgul Borieva and other celebrities. And also In the collections of a museum were kept the pictures of the great artists, as Madgazin.
Day 12
T oday we have talked with a great writer, poet Sharapatdin Ayapov and we saw some guests at the museum and learn something new that Schoolchildren, students and veterans are the regular visitors of the museum. Especially, a lot of visitors among the emigrants, they watch the museum, video material, listen to the songs of Ayimkhan Shamuratova and plunge into childhood and leave the museum with tears in their eyes. There are many visitors from near and far abroad. Many good words have been written down in the Museum's Guest Book. Recently, interest has increased among foreigners from Holland, USA, England, France, Japan, etc. Additionally near the museum is located the Hotel "Jipek Joli" ( Silk Road) which is belonged to the museum. The hotel is very clear and the staff is also сoncurable to the standard.


Day 13
Today at the museum while we were continue our search of collection of the museum we saw many interesting and great pictures and one of the great artists here is Diana Matevosyan was born in Baku.
She graduated from the Azimzade art School and the faculty of Art Graphics of the Baku Pedagogical Institute. Her works were exhibited in Tashkent, Moscow, Baku, Minsk, Makhachkala, Kazan, Almata, Nukus.
Her best works are in the fund of Ministry of culture of Uzbekistan, the famous museum of art in Karakalpakstan named after Savitsky, the national Bank of Uzbekistan, in private collection in France, Turkey, USA, Armenia, Greece.
Day 14
Today we visited a special place. We were told that the sights and exhibits of the museum of Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuatovs are not only in the museum, some of the museum exhibits are also in the hotel called «Zipek Zholy» it is next to the museum.
Today we went there, to the hotel. There we began to familiarize ourselves with the rooms, with the reception, the kitchen room and others. The hotel «Zipek Zholy» and the museum of Amet and Ayimkhan Shamuratovs are closely related with each other. The hotel, like the museum, has many exhibits. In each department, in each room there are exhibits and photographs of these famous people. The hotel rooms have paintings, patterned carpets and many other 20th century memorabilia on the walls. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted very politely and beautifully. We saw at the kitchen and dining room. It was very clear, spacious and comfortable there. Historical items hang in every corner of the kitchen.
