2016 West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation Department MEN’S and CO-REC SOFTBALL



ENTRY DEADLINE (Returning Teams)-

Friday, February 19th


Sponsors who wish to be assured of re-entering their team in the same league as last year must return their team entry contract along with the proper fee to the Recreation Dept., either in person or by mail, no later than 5:00 P.M. by the renewal deadline indicated on the contract.

TRANSFER REQUESTS


Teams wishing to transfer to a different league than last year are advised to turn in a transfer request with the renewal contract. These requests will be reviewed the day after the renewal deadline and teams will be moved if possible. Keep in mind that if the league you wish to transfer into is full, you will remain in the same league that you played in last year.

NEW TEAM ENTRY


Entries from new teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the WA-WM Recreation Office, 1205 S 70th Street, starting at 8:00 A.M. on the new team entry date indicated on the contract.

A summary of the 2016 softball fees are as follows:

SPONSORSHIP OF TEAM


A sponsor’s establishment must be located in the School District of West Allis - West Milwaukee in order to be considered a “School District of West Allis - West Milwaukee Sponsor”. Sponsors outside the District of West Allis - West Milwaukee must add $51.00 to their entry fee.
Any team withdrawing from a league prior to the schedules being published will be refunded one-half of the entry fee. No refund will be allowed for a team(s) for league withdrawal once schedules have been published.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY


A. Every player must be officially registered, signing the team player card on file at the Recreation Dept. before being eligible to play.

B. Individuals who reside in the District of West Allis - West Milwaukee are eligible to play by filling out the team player card and paying the $12.00 resident fee, which is non-refundable.



Individuals who reside outside the District of West Allis - West Milwaukee are eligible to play by filling out the team player card and paying the $24.00 non-resident fee, which is non-refundable.

  1. All participants must reside in the State of Wisconsin.

  2. Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.


FORFEIT FEE PROCEDURE


A team that forfeits a game will be charged a $20.00 forfeit fee. This fee is due immediately after the forfeited game. If the fee is not paid before the next scheduled game, a team may be dropped from the league. A team with an outstanding forfeit fee at the end of the season must pay the fee in order to renew their contract the following season.

The Recreation Department is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
