NOTES FROM TRIAL SECRETARY
1. Please remember to check the No Signature Required box AND sign that spot where you authorize them to deliver on any overnight package. My Post Office knows that we do not accept signature-required packages and will not even attempt to deliver them. They just mark them “Refused” and return to sender. So I never even know that you sent that package to me.

2. Remember that the Move up Deadline for your first day of a weekend trial is ALWAYS Monday at 6 pm. Please send those move ups in right away.

3. Please review the section about Move ups as we have added more clarification about move ups before and at the trials.

4. With all the paperwork we handle, mistakes are inevitable. We send out both Preliminary Confirmations and Final Confirmations. PLEASE read these and double check that all the information is correct. Having to change Gate boards, scribe sheets and computer records the day of the trial or the week of the trial is very difficult.

5. For Novice Exhibitors – please read the section on the move up form or under Move ups about when you need to change from Novice A to Novice B and also read the section under classes to determine whether you should enter Novice A or Novice B level classes

All jump heights MUST be measured unless you have a valid height card. If you do have a permanent jump height card from the AKC, you must send in a copy with your entry form.

If there is no official measurer at the trial, you will be measured by the judge for that weekend only. If there isn't a VMO present and your dog jumps 24", you will not need to be measured for the weekend. You will still need to be measured officially at some point.

If your dog measures lower during the weekend, you cannot move your dog down in jump height for that trial. If your dog measures higher than the class you originally entered, you must notify MNYKC and show your dog in the higher jump height for that weekend and subsequent shows.
SHKC WILL ACCEPT PHOTOCOPIES OF THE PERMANENT OR UNEXPIRED TEMPORARY HEIGHT CARD WITH THE ENTRY FOR THIS SHOW.

Once a trial closing date has past, a dog cannot be moved from Nov A to Nov B. If the trial has already reached the closing date on the day the dog obtained its title, the dog shall remain in the class in which it was originally entered. The dog can also be moved up a level (Nov to Open) at the request of the owner subject to the normal move up criteria.

MOVE UPS
EMAILED MOVE UPS: When emailing a move up to us please just give the following information. TRIAL NAME, Owner Name. Dog Call Name, Move up for what days (Saturday, Sunday, etc.), Moving from, Moving to (PLEASE include STD or JWW)
MOVE UP DEADLINES: Move ups prior to a set of trials: Dogs can be moved up to a higher class at the request of the owner, as a result of qualifying for an agility title, provided that the request is made to the Trial Secretary not later than 6 pm on the Monday preceding the set of trials for trials starting on a Thursday-Sunday. For trials that start on Monday-Wednesday, move ups preceding the set of trials shall be accepted if received by the Trial Secretary no later than seven (7) days prior to the trial (i.e., for a Tuesday trial move up requests must be made prior to 6 pm on the previous Tuesday).
For any move ups for a set of back-to-back agility trials held Thursday-Sunday: The 6 pm move up deadline applies to the first day the dog is entered in a set of back-to-back agility trials.
For example, if it is a three-day set of back-to-back agility trials (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and the dog is entered on Saturday and Sunday, then a move up for Saturday must be submitted by 6 pm on the Monday preceding the set of back-to-back agility trials.
Another example, if the dog is entered on Sunday only of a Saturday and Sunday set of back-to-back agility trials; the move up deadline is still 6 pm on the Monday preceding the set of back-to-back agility trials. That Sunday only entry move up is NOT considered a Day-to-Day move up and therefore must be made by 6 pm on the preceding Monday. Once the 6 pm deadline has been reached the only move ups that will be allowed are Day-to-Day move ups as specified under Day-to-Day move ups.
NOVICE MOVE UPS: Dogs having attained their first AKC Agility Title (Std OR JWW) must be moved to the Nov B Class (Std and JWW) for all trials that have not reached the closing date. If the trial has already reached the closing date on the day the dog obtained its title, the dog shall remain in the class in which it was originally entered. The dog can also be moved up a level (Nov to Open) at the request of the owner subject to the normal move-up criteria.
DAY-TO-DAY MOVE UPS are only allowed for dogs entered at the set of back-to-back agility trials for the dogs’ succeeding days entries of that set of back-to-back agility trials and must be submitted in writing at the trial within ½ hour of the last run of the trial day for the following day(s) and cannot be conveyed via fax, email, or verbally to the trial secretary.
