Dear Parents:
The Parent-Student Handbook is prepared to assist each parent and student in understanding our schools and their operation. We feel that an understanding by each student and parent of the school rules and regulations is necessary in order to create a good learning atmosphere and to maintain each student's individual rights. We suggest that parents discuss the rules and regulations in this handbook with their child. This will help to avoid confusion and misunderstanding.

As we begin another school year, let us reinforce the importance of establishing a partnership between the home and the school. This must be accomplished if our students are to get the most out of their education. Students receive around 6 hours of instruction per day from the school. What happens at home during the other 18 hours is just as important.

On behalf of the faculty and staff we would like to extend an invitation for you to visit your child’s school and participate in their learning experiences. We would also encourage you to become an active member in the PTO at Ash Grove or the PTA at Bois D’Arc. Both schools also have volunteer programs that would appreciate your participation.

We are very happy to have you and your child with us and we are looking forward to an exciting school year.
