2000-2015 population loss is estimated at 11.9%, per the base projection, versus 4.3% per the modified projection.
Due to Wall’s small population, changes in certain demographics are minor and do not provide meaningful information in terms of future trends. Overall, current cohorts appear to remain constant as a proportion in future years.
The most apparent variable relating to population sustenance within Wall is the stability of its housing stock. Wall lost a considerable amount of single family housing between 1990 and 2000. (These issues are further examined in the chapter on housing). If this loss is curtailed, as the modified projection assumed, the population losses will be slight.
