Research objective: 
The research will present a series of tests to be performed on the solar panels 
in order to verify their specifications. In these tests, we must rely on international 
standards for the test. The German Standards Authority and TÜV has classified a 
group of IEC (International Electro technical Committee) standards for cell and 
solar panel tests, and defines the test mechanism according to the IEC standard. It 
set the sequence of tests, conditions, and requirements for the design qualifications 
of solar panels; so that these standards become a basic basis for testing worldwide, 
and it denies the difference, resulting from the geographical location in which the 
tested sample will be installed [3].

The importance of submitting to international standards contributes to:

Quality control of materials used in solar energy systems, and this 
contributes to ensuring their performance and economic returns during the shelf 
life.

markets, and controls the work of the foreign companies.

issue of engineering economic competition.

It creates a kind of cooperation with international bodies to ensure the 
issuance of comprehensive standards.

These standards cover the following aspects: 
• Description of the product electrically and mechanically. Define test and 
measurement charts. Defining general safety tests (electrically - mechanically - 
thermally). 
• Establishing foundations and standards for maintenance. 
• Setting standards and principles for the design of the electro-solar system.
