Re: Parent pick-up and drop off
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We would like to welcome you to the new State Street Elementary Center. We are excited to open this new state of the art building. With your patience and cooperation this school year will be a great success.

We would like to take this opportunity to address procedures for student drop off and pick-up. There is a map provided on the back of this memo to help you to better visualize the State Street parking areas and traffic patterns.

Student drop off and pick-up for grades 3, 4, and 5 is at the main entrance (facing State Street). Parents are to enter through drive area B, follow the one way loop to the right, drop off in the front of the school, then proceed to exit out drive C, to the left. Pick- up will be at the same location. Visitor parking areas are available within the loop area, as well as in the front of the secondary entrance.
Student drop off for grades K, 1, and 2 is in the back of the new building. Parents are to enter through drive area B, and proceed to the left (do not go around the loop) past the secondary entrance, then make a right down to the first sidewalk that leads to the school. You will continue to follow the rode until you see the turn-around loop on your left. After you loop around, you will be following the rode and exiting out of drive C.
Student pickup for grades K, 1, and 2 is slightly different. Parents are to enter through drive area B, and proceed to the left (do not go around the loop) past the secondary entrance, then make a right, follow the rode to parking are B. You may park in the back section to await students’ dismissal. Students will be exiting out of wing A and will follow the sidewalk to parking area B. Parents will then exit out of drive C.
If you have children in both primary and intermediate levels, please use the K-2 pick-up and drop off locations.

Also, please note, that parent pick up students will be dismissed after the buses.
Please adhere to the procedures. Our goal is to ensure students are safe at arrival and dismissal times. We cannot make this a success without your cooperation.
