Administrative Modernisation Agency (AMA)
Created in 2007, 
AMA
 follows the Presidency of the Council of Ministers responsibilities 
in the areas of digital government, modernisation and administrative simplification, 
under the superintendence and tutelage of the Secretary of State Assistant and for 
Administrative Modernisation.
AMA’s activity is divided in three major pillars: Digital Transformation, Public Services 
Delivery (both physical and digital) and Public Participation.
AMA leads areas such as ICT strategy and governance, electronic identification (eID), 
interoperability, open data, and other building blocks of the digital government in 
Portugal.
