ALIGNEMENT WITH THE CORPORATE GOALS OF THE WORLD BANK GROUP

The CPS and its implementation were aligned with corporate goals and national 

strategy documents. The objectives of the country were reflected in the document titled “Welfare 

Improvement Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2013-15” (earlier version - 2008-10), 

where achievement of sustainable and quality growth of the population’s welfare was set as the 

main goal of the national development strategy.  Though the poor were not identified as the target 

group, the government nevertheless closely monitors poverty.
