When I was 9 it was the first time I have visited to the university, I sat and waited for father until he ends his lessons and works

I am interested in interning at YPIP program this summer because work environment in host companies and guidance of mentors would provide me with a valuable opportunity to apply my academic knowledge and experiences to a professional environment. Furthermore, I would like to learn all about workplace culture, employee relations, and leadership structure. Learning from mentors and working closely with them on projects have positive impact on my skills such as communication and interaction, leadership, problem solving and teamwork.

When I was 9 it was the first time I have visited to the university, I sat and waited for father until he ends his lessons and works. My father was a math-teacher, when he taught students I also attended the lessons as the “youngest student”. I was very interested in his job, especially in mathematical equations which solve real-life problems. During school years, I attended both mathematical olympiads and competitions and achieved remarkable results. As the time approached for me to set my personal and professional goals, I made a decision to enter a field which would provide me with a sense of achievement and, at the same time produce a positive impact on mankind. It became apparent to me that a career in math would fulfill these objectives.

As a third year student at Urgench State University, I have developed a stronger meaning of mathematics in our society. In addition to this, I have learned Russian, English languages which contributed positively to pursue my academic interests and gain more knowledge. I attended in several conferences and forums which helped to gain new skills and experiences. For instance, during “The voice of the youth is important“ forum we have learned project development skills and developed a project aimed to create bridge between unemployed sector in society and employment agency. From this year, with my academic advisor, I am studying principles of mathematical modeling and application of models in social processes.

Mathematical modeling is widely used in businesses, for example decision-making mathematical models, predictive mathematical models, optimization mathematical models. In my career, I hope to open mathematical community and statistical services centre which provide companies and business people with effective statistics as a tool to solve practical problems for their organization. For this, being interned would be a chance to meet professionals and receiving feedbacks from themclassroom knowledge and theory with practical application but also help me learn all about workplace culture, employee relations, and leadership structure.
