Analyzation areas: Public debates, public figures, intellectuals, academics (not just limited to politicians)

Level of analyzation: Positions concepts, ideas, alternative solution proposals, different school of thoughts

What should Not be analyzed: speeches texts discourses

  The structure of the Paper: Title, Name of the Authors, Abstract, Key Words, Introduction, Methodology (Short Description of How You Work in one Paragraph), Main Text, Conclusion, Bibliography
  

In text references is more advisable so additional information in footnotes will not mixed with reference information. If a source is not so worthy as to be in bibliography (such as a website link with data from world bank for instance), you can add and mention it as an additional information there rather than regular reference like others.

Do not finish every sentence with reference. Otherwise, you won’t be able to put your own idea.

Not entering the political debate but analyzing it. Don’t be the judge and siding one view to another (No problem to mentions the pros and cons of these variety of views too. For instance: X view is right in this way but problematic in that way, the Y view is complementary and good in this way but challenging in that way. If we combine these approaches, we might get closer to the solution… Opinion also needed to be able to contribute academy. Otherwise, it will be just collection of different views.) So, it is not black and white, and analyzation must mention these diverse aspects of various views.

Analytical assessment of a political debate, you don’t have to be the judge among different positions.

  About Case Study:
  

A single case study can be used for analyzation if this case study is embedded with the broader topic + Need to explain why you chose this case and why it is representative on the subject at large. For instance: I am writing about the debate in climate change and I think various views in this debate cannot be better presented than the debates in Germany for … reasons.

So, mention it in methodology part and JUSTIFY it why it is right to use case study in this research.
