In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 2, 2021 No 6196 "On measures to improve the activities of law enforcement agencies in the field of public safety and fight against crime" No. 6196 It was noted that the information program "Smart Neighborhood" has been developed, which allows to monitor, establish rapid communication with the population, evaluate the activities of prevention inspectors and sector leaders.

The preventive services it includes are also distinguished by the powers vested in them. These differences are manifested in the following: first, the main focus with offenders is not on punishing them, but on their social rehabilitation and social adaptation; secondly, to identify the causes of the offenses and the conditions that allow them, as well as their early elimination; third, the organization of propaganda and advocacy work among the population; fourth, the need to focus on the organization of activities in cooperation with other entities of crime prevention, in particular, government agencies and public structures; fifth, focusing on activities that are more preventive than operational; sixth, the need for regular study and analysis of criminogenic situations in the regions; seventh, that criminogenic situations require the proper distribution of power and resources to areas where they are complicated; eighth, requiring the use of the most effective methods of crime prevention, and so on.
