What is the climate like in your country?

I can say it depends on which part of the country you are referring to. I am currenty living in the Near East,I would say the weather is a bit comfortable because it has all four seasons but sometimes the weather can also get pretty extreme, especially in the summer when the temperature can reach up 40 degree celcius due to terrifying drastic heatwaves sweeping across the city.

Are there any problems with the climate in your country ?

Nowadays, we certainly seem to have experienced more violent storm and torrential rain in some areas in our country. This has caused serious flooding in some places. A village near where I live had a flash flood last summer which washed away cars and a few buildings. People say global warming is to blame .

What is your favourite type of weather?

I would say , it may sound strange but my favourite weather is when it is cloudy, windy and drizzling as it makes me feel calm and relaxed…I like such weather especially at night because I can hear the little raindrops falling and see the dew on the window, it helps me to sleep ..

What kind of weather you dislike ?

I hate weather that mixes hot weather with extreme levels of humidity. It has been a long time since I remember being in conditions that feel hot and sticky at the same time and I hope it don’t go back .

Would you prefer to live hot or cold country?

Definitely hot . Hot is always better than cold. People in’’ hot’’ countries are usually cheerful and fun ! I live in Uzbekistan . the weather is lovely here.

What is the best /worst weather for travelling in ?

Let me say that I don’t believe one kind of weather is necessarily ‘’good’’ or ‘’bad’’. I truly believe there is no such things as bad weather . To say ‘’comfortable’’ and ‘’uncomfortable’’ weather I can live with anything in the extreme heat ,cold, wet, hours at work, study, hangovers whining is rarely fun .

Part2 describe an envormental problem.

I would say one of the biggest problems in the Uzbekistan is air pollution, largely in big cities. Since I am from a small town, I don’t see this problem, but when I go to a city like Tashkent I m shocked with a heavy smog that fills the air. One time I couldn’t see the top of the skyscrapers because the it was so bad .Just a note, I know this problem don’t exist only in the Uzbekistan . I’ve seen pictures of other cities such as USA, Chine, Bangkok. It appears the problem is worse in these cities . I am not sure how long the Uzbekistan has had this problem, but I am sure it has existed for a long time . I would guess the problem started during the industries revolution and when gas powered cars started becoming popular. Ever since, I would think, it has gotten worse and worse. Unfortunetly , when there’s prolonged heavy air pollution, it causes several problems like permanent health effects, acid rain that contaminates the earth’s water and damage to plants and animals.

Which environmental problems are people most concerned about in your country?

Yes … we have serious issue with pollution levels in some of our big cities… exhaust fumes from cars and lorries are definitely one reason the problem but we also have a lot of heavy industry in some areas and this result in poor air quality.

What are the main causes of these environmental problems ? do you think it is the responsibility of governments alone to protect the environment

The government plays a major role in environmental protection. It is the government’s duty to protect and conserve critical environmental resources ,ensure judicious use and ensure equitable access you environmental resources, minimize adverse environmental impacts on society. Also government alone is not responsible for protecting environment. Each and every individual citizen need to participate in preventing and protecting environmental crisis.

Do you think large companies and business organizations should be more environmentally friendly ?why? how ?

Development is very good, sometimes it is a necessity to survive in nowadays. Companies need profit , but they should not do so at the expense of environment . sustaineable development is the key , the needs of the present has to be met without compromising the ability of future generations to sustain life in the planet . Going green may seem tobe the latest trend but it is a trend with a variety of benefits for nature.
