Young(2011) reports about language learning preference in his research “What

Know About Languages and Why We Should Care”. He explained that babies are more
potential to learning languages as well as prejudice and preferences.
The author claimed that most of us can easily distinguish between languages.Moreover
he confirmed that adults cannot differ languages such as English and French with only visual
clues while infants in their few month age easily complete this. Yong(2011) and his
colleagues from the University of British Columbia did experiment which illustrate his
statement. As a result, research illustrated that babies can easily distinguish French and
English by movement of lips.
