Creating a Theatre Bible/Text Book for students

Terrin is willing to organize all the materials and create powerpoints

Remind coaches at awards to announce that pictures need to be taken of their winning work

Open it up to all-state winners

Maybe don’t put up original script due to kids copying what was done

As coaches we should read those examples to insure its original ideas

Dramatic Magazines also has examples of original scripts

Connect with USITT they teach and do all the work

Head of Tech at UW also willing to do this

Guide book is $800 a year

• Display: Students need one self-supporting display board (such as foam or mat) for all elements of their publicity displays, which may not exceed 24" x 30".

Formulate a marketing schedule and budget (A fair timeline would be within two months of a production. See example in the packet.)

Create a website homepage for the production, show a significant online content such as a web page, a Youtube video or similar. Include means for judges’ access (e.g. QR code, URL, etc).

At State drama 2015 we would have to vote on changing monologues and Duets

Change would be the its model of 3 minutes 2 contrasting pieces

Dramatic and Humorous would no longer be divided

Musical categories would be added to State Drama

Specify that All states are tied with overall Superior rating

Tech events keep the level of years, however 4th and maybe 3rd year would add the interview component

All coaches had in fact gotten permission from their principals to perform the pieces

At registration schools will note if there is language, adult situations, abuse situation, physical violence

ITS also indicates this and will provide their model
-
Students are allowed to leave a round due to the rating

State Drama 2015 and 2016 at UW
-
Lee is looking into the possibilities of having workshops perhaps in 2016 State Drama
-
Lee would not be in charge of having to set up workshops other than the space
-
Have the workshops in the already provided rooms during the WEST membership meeting

Have a showcase where we use all 3 theatres and rotate for their stage
