Conclusion:
Awareness campaign in recent years could make scientists
and governments state that animal testing should cause
as little suffering to animals as possible, and that animal
tests should only be performed where necessary.
Progressive changes have been made in the principles
and practice of animal testing. Although such principles
of care and use of animals have been appreciated as a step
forwards by some animal welfare groups, they have been
criticized as of little practical effect in improving animal
welfare. We should also look into the matter deeply and
compassionately.
